Kinessia, game school project

Hey,

I’m happy to share with you my game school project made at the french Gobelins school, in Annecy.
It is now online : http://kinessia.aymericlamboley.fr/.

I worked with a graphic designer, Tiffany Francony, which made an amazing job !

For the exam we had high honours and the best rating !!

It is made with the Citrus Engine. The original version used a smartphone as a controller for the game, and all the HUD was displayed on this. I used a Java server to make the synchronization.

This is a simple web version, I can’t pay a Java server. The concept is more raw than the original one, there was a video at the beginning to explain the story, and our approach was on the website. But, that was all in french, so I cut off.

All the source code is available on GitHub.

A short video :

I hope you will enjoy the prototype 🙂

  1. Hi its a really AWESOME game and i really enjoyed playing it . Would you mind share some info about the project (some source code or tutorials) of how you managed to create a preloader between the levels and how you succeeded to embed mini games in a level.

I would be extremely grateful if you could help me

  2. Hi fokion, thank you! Perhaps I will made a tutorial on this two things shortly. About the preloader, Eric will make a tutorial on the Citrus Engine forum.

  3. Wow thats a fast reply thanks a lot and keep up the good and quality work 🙂

  4. Awesome game you have there!
I am interested on how you created the Fragment meter because I am currently working on a school project almost the same as yours and I haven’t figured out how the coins my Hero has collected be counted on a coin meter. I’m just a newbie 😛

    Thank you in advance! 😀

  5. Hey thank you! Just take a look on the Citrus Engine demo, it is really close. The design is over the game and I just add my coin after Hero’s collision.

  6. Oh! Thanks! You gave me an idea, I’m using another method maybe that’s why I can’t figure it out. Thanks again! 😀

  7. However, my problem is, I couldn’t seem to load the function inside the SWF of the Jewel Meter. It always gets the message “Access of Undefined Property”

  8. Designer really made an amazing job!!!
Is there any way she can be contacted ? We would like to hire her for a game project.
